# Connect search with outcomes

Understand where search interest and landing-page behavior tell different parts of the story.

Status: Practical guide, version 1.0. Not an automated integration.

## Required inputs
- Search Console page and query exports
- GA4 landing-page and key-event context
- Your documented key-event definitions

## Process
1. Choose a business question and a comparable reporting period.
2. Record search type, geography, device, consent, and channel filters.
3. Map landing-page paths to canonical page URLs.
4. Compare visibility, clicks, engagement, and key events as separate signals.
5. Inspect the offer and user journey for pages where the signals diverge.
6. Write a bounded finding, its limitations, and one next investigation.

## Human review
Clicks, sessions, and key events describe different scopes. Never call their ratio a conversion rate. Confirm what each key event actually measures.

## Illustrative output
Sample only. No real customer data.
- Finding — search interest exists for a service topic
- Evidence — page and query exports plus landing-page context
- Next review — inspect whether the page supports the same intent

## Acceptance checklist
- [ ] Key-event definitions are documented
- [ ] Channel filters and dates are recorded
- [ ] The finding distinguishes observation from inference
